Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

Hello and good morning!

Summer is officially over and I have to say this summer was a turning point for me.  So much good happened (I made so much progress shifting over to a more healthier life) and yet so much bad happened (family/work troubles).  I think the highlight of my summer was being invited to submit writing to Z Publishing House, where my writing was accepted and published in Pennsylvania’s Emerging Writers: An Anthology of Fiction.  I couldn’t be more grateful to Z Publishing House for this experience.

But now that Fall is here, I am ready to embrace the cooler weather, the pumpkin spice, the leaves everywhere.  I am also ready to embrace a new list of goals.20180923_140415

Reading:

I am so close to reaching my Goodreads challenge of reading 50 books, that I am not worried about reading a set number of books.  So long as I read to be able to post a new book review every Monday, I’ll be happy.

Writing:

20180923_140355This November, I’ll be participating in NaNoWriMo and I am using this as a way to get a solid rough draft completed.  In my previous post, Getting Serious About Writing, I mentioned that I am giving myself a deadline to have a finished manuscript ready for publishing by December 31, 2019.

Personal:

Sometime in October, I’ll be going in for surgery to be diagnosed/help treat Endometriosis.  I have been going through hell with this for years, and it’s reached such a crescendo that I am struggling to deal with it, physically and mentally.  I know that this is something that won’t go away, but I’m hoping after the surgery it will be something more tolerable at best.  I just want to be able to function like a normal human-being, and not have this affect my job or my home life anymore.  20180923_140441

I am really going in to Fall with a relaxed mindset, and just taking this one day at a time.  To me, Fall is a time to just light some candles, pick up a good book with a steaming mug of coffee at your elbow, and enjoy your time to yourself.  It’s not a time for stress.  At least to me it’s not.

Be sure to click the follow button so you can be notified each time a new post comes up.  I am already planning out my Fall Reading Routine, A Fall Book Recommendations, and so much more.  With NaNoWriMo right around the corner, I’ll be posting some writing related material and updates as well, so don’t miss out!

Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time…………………..
