Hello fellow readers!
Have you ever watched your favorite YouTuber go through a haul, or their daily vlog, and they seem to eat/wear something all the time and they “swear” by these products? Have you ever wondered if they’re hyping these products up or because they genuinely like them? (Seriously, with the HelloFresh people)
Well I’ve watched them, and I’ve wondered……and it led to multiple purchases through Amazon all on a whim and with my fingers crossed that I didn’t just waste my money.
Today’s recommendations are from my lifestyle icon, Remi Cruz, or missremiashten as she’s more commonly known. Beauty guru, health enthusiast, and basically one of the most inspiring women I’ve ever seen on YouTube. Seriously, I follow her Twitter, her many Instagrams, and both of her YouTube channels. Oh, and did I mention she has a podcast?
Splits
The first one that I had to try were these little snack things called Split. They come in packs of ten on Amazon and come in a variety of flavors. I chose classic peanut butter and grape jelly.
So the first time I tried these, I folded it up, mushed it a little, and went all in. And it was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. The grape jelly was so overpowering that it actually made my taste buds cringe. It didn’t help that I didn’t knead the packet correctly and the oil from the peanut butter came out like slime. I later tried it with bread (I added the entire packet) and added banana to it. There is quite a bit of product in the packet that it was still overwhelming.
Third time’s the charm!
I tried it one final time (seriously just now as I’m typing this) and put only about half of the packet on a sandwich thin bread. I made sure that I seriously mushed the crap out of that packet before I opened it. And guess what? It wasn’t that bad. Actually, I think I enjoyed it. The trick between this time and the first two attempts was how I mixed up the packet. You really have to make sure that you knead it around to make sure the oils of the peanut butter are blended in or else you end up with either super dry peanut paste or complete peanut oil. Both are equally gross, I assure you. But in the end, I give this a thumbs up.

Noosh
Noosh is a little packet of almond butter that tastes like cupcake. Again there are a variety of flavors on Amazon, but this is the one that Remi recommended, so I decided to try it.

Again, if you get this product, make sure you really knead the packets. The first time I ripped one open, I had the same awful oily texture that the Splits had. I didn’t make that mistake again, I assure you. As for taste, it’s not like you’re biting into frosted cupcake, baked to perfection and sprinkled with love. But, they do have a very sweet taste without being overly sugary. I’ve eaten them straight from the packet, used them to dip bananas in, and (currently) slathered it on a piece of toast. Definitely worth it.
Would I Recommend?
When I add up my preferences on taste and weigh that with the cost of these products, I’m actually torn on these. They’re good, but are they $20 good? I don’t know. But if you want to treat yourself, or if you’re like me and you sometimes just have to try something to know if you’re going to like it, click on the links above to check them out for yourself.
Thank you so much for reading and until next time……………………..
