This year is winding down and quite honestly I couldn’t be happier that it’s almost over. However I promised myself that I would finish this year on a high note and that’s what I’m going to do. Since my last update in August, I’ve been on and off with my workouts and diet and I’ve felt the consequences as of recently.
Negative Impacts of My Break From Working Out
In terms of numbers, since August, I’ve gained back five pounds and it’s most evident in my midsection. Another thing that I’ve noticed is in increase in my acne as I’ve realized my water intake has drastically decreased to about 32 oz a day. The biggest impact I’ve seen from this “break” is my energy level. I’m tired all the time. And I’m tired of being tired. So I’m going to do what I did back in May. It’s time to flip the switch and get my ass in gear.
Actions To Implement Immediately
I wanted to say that these are goals for November, but I know I need to start these ASAP if I want to take myself seriously. So starting tomorrow, I am reimplementing these challenges to be continued through the end of November
- Beachbody’s A Little Obsessed – a five day program that preludes to 80 Day Obsession
- Drink half my weight in water
- Run/jog/walk 1 mile a day
- Follow diet – no cheat days!
Now, the above goals are ones that I implemented in May and I followed through to the end of July and they were the happiest that I’ve felt all year. This time around, however, I am taking my endometriosis into consideration and will not be forcing myself to workout or even touch the treadmill during those days. The amount of pain I feel afterward is not worth pushing my boundaries.
I know I can do this, as I’ve already proved to myself that I can. The trick is to make myself get off my ass and do it. Here’s to getting back on track!
