Last weekend was one of the roughest I have ever experienced doing 75 hard. I was struggling to get restorative sleep and my mood was lower. Part of that is the impending doom that I call my period is still creeping up. It’s just a matter of when now. I did stretches last Friday in stead of my workout that I had planned, the same with Saturday and Sunday. All weekend I was beating myself up that I wasn’t going hard, but my body needed that rest. I was so close to crying by Sunday night as my husband and I were out walking at 10 o’clock at night trying to get my last workout in. And then when I got home, I had to rush to get homework done that was due by midnight. All that knowing I was supposed to go in to work, again, the following morning. Stressful!
Looking at my progress that I’ve made, I know it is all worth it. If I do this program again, which I know I want to, I’m may have to make adjustments that work for my schedule. This isn’t me saying I want to bitch out. This is me recognizing that perhaps getting 3-5 hours of sleep a night isn’t the best for my body. But it’s fine. I’m fine. We’re fine. Only a few more week’s left!
Update
Last week was not the best week for me schedule-weis, but I wanted to share my exciting news! I recently went shopping for new jeans, as I normally get like one pair a year and wear leggings the rest of the time. Wearing leggings all the time will sometimes make it hard to tell when you are going down in sizes. I am so proud to share that I went down a few sizes in jeans! I went from a 14/16 to a size 12 last year, however it was a tight 12. Still uncomfortable to wear and it was so loose around my waist and then painfully tight around my thighs and butt. Needless to say, I didn’t wear them unless I had to. Last Monday I decided to try on a pair of 10’s as the jeans that I was eyeing at American Eagle didn’t come any bigger. They fit so damn good and my butt has never looked better in a pair of jeans (except, you know, when I was like a size 2 and was still baby-faced). I also decided to be brave and order a pair of my favorite Gymshark Flex leggings in a medium. Lo and behold, they fit perfectly!
Going down in pants size prompted me to step on the scale yesterday. I have been avoiding the scale since the beginning of 75 Hard as I wasn’t seeing much of a difference. I was seeing the difference in muscle gain, but that number wasn’t moving the way I wanted it to. For my mental health, I told myself I wasn’t going to weigh myself until the end of the challenge. Well, I broke down and I stepped on the scale. 18 days ago I weighed myself and came in at 170.6 lbs. Prior to that, it was fluctuating up and down by 5 lbs but it wasn’t going below 170. However when I weighed myself yesterday I weighed in at 164.8 lbs. That means within the span of 18 days I lost 5.8 lbs! Yes!!!!!
Looking at my body, I can definitely see where that weight came from. It is very obvious in the size and shape of my butt. Trust me when I say it used to be shaped like a watermelon. If I would stand with my hands down, my hips would push my arms out to the side. I am so proud of the progress that I’ve made and I will continue to give it everything I’ve got because as tired as I am, I’ve never felt more comfortable in my skin. And I love it.

Not really getting fancy with the workouts this week, especially not really knowing when my period is going to hit. What I didn’t put on there is that there are the three workouts from 9 Week Control Freak, Freak Week, that I did not get done over the weekend so I will be adding them in on three days this week.
Thank you all so much for reading and until next time…………….
Yay for new jeans!
