Looking Back at September 2021

Hello all! I wanted to look back at the month of September and see how I fared for the month. I know I started off on such a strong foot and kept that momentum through the entirety of the month but I wanted to see specifically how I did with some of my goals for the month.

My Workout Schedule

I made it about three weeks in to the month of September before I began to fall off my schedule. It was about the same time that I had worked every day of the week then I had to leave the state on a Saturday and be back to work the next day. So while I was struggling to stay on top of my homework and keeping the house clean, I started to lose motivation to go hard in my workouts. I started to take easy treadmill walks in the morning and one evening I straight up opted for a 45 minute stretch because my body was worn out. As some of you know, I’ve been following Kelly Yager’s Fit and Functional Q3 guide. One workout typically takes me a little over an hour (depending on the timed cardio). There were also days that I had planned to do a full body session after work, but I had opted for a long run instead. Overall, I’m not mad at it because I moved every day and my body, while exhausted, feels on point and ready to be kicked up a notch. I will just reschedule the workouts that I didn’t get to for the month of October.

My TBR

Looking at my TBR, I read one book on that entire list for the month of September. Sweet Obsession by Callie Rose was such an amazing book and the first in a series. I will be sure to add the second book in the series for next month. I feel like I am in an in-between phase right now with the season changing. I want to hold on to the summer vibes of something soft and fluffy or romantic but at the same time my inner self is starting to edge towards the dark and spooky and toe-curling. Looking ahead, I know that the rest of this year is going to be chaotic to say the least so I’m not sure how much time I’ll really get to devote to reading. When I’m making up my October TBR, I guess I’ll see how adventurous I’ll be.

NaNo Prep

It comes as no surprise, at least to me, that I have put off doing any sort of planning for NaNoWriMo once again. The soul purpose of my TBR this month was to get me in the writing mood and show me some inspiration for my own books. I honestly feel like the majority of my inspiration has come from authors that I follow on Instagram. However, it’s not too late yet as October, or Preptober, officially starts at the end of this week! It’s do or die now.

Blogging

This is the one area where I feel like I have excelled beyond my expectations. In the past, this is the one thing that I always chose to push aside when things got rough. I have stayed consistent with my uploads and I have continued to have such an amazing time creating the content for this month. I’m so proud of myself! I really am looking forward to October and some of the content I have planned. It’s going to be so fun!

As always, thank you so much for reading and until next time…………….
