November TBR

Some of you may have noticed that I sort of disappeared in October. I had so much planned for Preptober and for this blog and then life happened and I went to night shift. I spent a good two weeks switching my sleep schedule and just trying to stay on top of my health. For those of you who aren’t night people, let me fill you in….there isn’t much you can do at night. Stores aren’t open 24/7 like they used to be. So what do you do? For the first few nights, I didn’t know what to do with myself other than sit in front of the tv because I was trying to be careful not to make too much noise. (I’m on nights, my husband is still on days) After the first two nights, I kicked myself in the ass and forced myself to stay active. Thankfully, my husband is a deep sleeper so I could work out in the basement and he wouldn’t hear me.

As things are right now, I’m not supposed to go back to day shift until the week of Thanksgiving. Now that I feel I have my health and fitness back in control, I realize that there is a lot of free time at nights. A perfect way to fill that time and keep me away from the tv (which I found was triggering mindless binging), is to read. I purposefully did not shy away from thick books this month and am really loving the mix of rereads and new finds. There is one book that is releasing this month that I am so freaking excited for!!!

My TBR

  • Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
  • Flock by Kate Stewart
  • Crave by Tracy Wolff
  • Death by Laura Thalassa – Release date Nov. 9th
  • Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  • The Host by Stephenie Meyer
  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
  • Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
  • Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb
  • Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Obviously, some of these books are making an appearance again. I have a habit of packing my TBR list and then running out of time or finding other reads. I’m okay with that, though, if I’m being honest.

As always, thank you so much for reading and until next time…………
