Day in the Life: Meal Prepping and Planning My Week

Morning

This morning I woke up around 7 o’clock. This is another weekend day so on these days I don’t wake up to an alarm clock. It was the first official frost of the season too, so it was really cold this morning. Even my boy didn’t want to wake up. So I dressed as warmly as I could and went downstairs to get him his breakfast.

I broke my normal routine to get some homework finished right away. I knew the longer I procrastinated I was in danger of just not getting it done. The assignment was pretty fun. I’m currently in a design class that is teaching me how to use Adobe InDesign. It’s fun even though homework sucks.

After I knocked that out, I started some more laundry and prepped some of my supplements for the week. By that time, my dog was getting antsy so I let her out to play. It’s that time of year where she is shedding. Any of you that have huskies or furry dogs know the struggle this time of year brings with trying to keep your house hair-free. It’s like a losing battle. While she got her zoomies out, I decided to get some bills paid.

By 10 o’clock I was started to feel a little hungry. While I ate, I worked on content and put Hocus Pocus 2 on for background noise. I’m still torn whether or not it’s better than the first. Certainly more funny.

Afternoon

I actually ended up working on content longer than intended. At noon, I went down to my home gym in my basement and got my workout done for the day. It was a really quick metcon/circuit from Kelly Yager’s Q4 program that took maybe 30 minutes.

Next it was time to meal prep for the week. I made a chicken and carrot soup as well as tuna casserole. While that was cooking, I put together a quick protein smoothie. And then I ate all that while watching a little bit of YouTube. I forgot to take a picture, but I ended up playing with my new Urban Decay pallet. I am in love with these colors!

Evening

I started winding down around 4 and decided to take a nice relaxing bubble bath and read.

Immediately after I jumped right back into content creation. I had a really big shot of inspiration for my NaNoWriMo project so I spent some time researching that. This November I am trying my hand at something I’ve never written before: Fantasy Fiction. Stay tuned for my 2022 Survival Kit!

It wasn’t until after 6 that I realized that I needed to fill up my tire with air. I’ve been losing a battle against this tire for about a year. I had the stem valve replaced last year and it seemed to work for a while but then out of the blue it started to slowly lose its air pressure again. I honestly wanted to just leave it for the morning since I was already in my pajamas for the evening. However, I didn’t want to be that neighbor with the loud as #$%^ compressor going off at 6 in the morning. So I did what any sane person would do…..slipped into a pair of boots and zipped a coat over my jammies and went outside to take care of it. Which turned in to me having to wait for my husband to get home because I was only making the situation worse. Let me tell you, I am normally very good with my truck. I feel like she saw I was already being a dumbass (yes I refer to my truck as a she) and figured I didn’t actually want air in it.

So he came home and pumped it up. I worked on a little more content and ate dinner and finished prepping things for work the next day. Don’t judge, but I started watching some Christmas movies. For those of you who didn’t know…………Disney Plus has a new series launching November 11th…..Santa Clauses with Tim Allen! I feel like that may be a good day to put vacation day in.

I hope you enjoyed this day in the life. Until next time……………
