Hello and welcome to Blogmas Day 18! We are so close you guys!!!! I can’t wait! Let’s count down another day with this “Day in the Life” post.
03:00
I had my alarms set for 3 this morning so I could get a workout in. Honestly, I had been laying awake for a while since my tooth was bothering me all night with my bands for some reason. So by the time my alarms went off I was ready to just get up and get moving. I always have my workout clothes next to my bed so that I don’t have to fumble around in the morning. I was dressed and downstairs in a matter of minutes. After I took care of my animals, and took my meds, I gathered my shaker bottle and went to the basement for my workout. This morning I did Kelly Yager’s Shoulders/Abs and most of the next days Hamstring/Glutes. In the middle of it, I wished my husband a good day since he leaves before I do on days we both work. Once finished, I went upstairs to shower and get ready for the day. Because I wear a uniform over top of my regular clothes, I don’t have to get all dolled up, which really makes it easier in the morning as well. Most of my food was already prepped, so I just had to gather a few things and then it was time to leave for work.

My commute is probably one of the favorite parts about having to go to work. Except when traffic is a “you-know-what”. But this morning, I was an idiot and didn’t clear off the snow from the hood of my truck so I hide to drive the whole way with wipers on because the snow kept blowing back into my windshield. I should have known that was a bad omen. That and I needed to get gas and my one tire was extremely low on air pressure. But I made it to work on time anyways so I was willing to take the win.

The majority of my day was spent helping coordinate a project group for the production group. It was a really fun event being able to let the team members that are normally just out running machines get their hands on some of the software that more “behind the scenes” stuff that they normally aren’t included in. I will always be thankful for my position and that I am able to bring team members in and have them make the changes themselves rather than telling someone what they need to do. And it was fun watching them film and create.

I was just wrapping up lunch when my husband called me to tell me we had to leave immediately because his stepdaughter was sent to the hospital in an ambulance. I dropped everything and we loaded up in his truck and rushed off. The hospital was about 30 minutes away so we got more details from his mom while on our way. She hadn’t been feeling good the past couple of days and all morning she refused to eat or drink anything and ended up collapsing. His mom called for an ambulance because she wasn’t able to carry her. When we got to the ER, I went back first to see her to make sure she was ok before sending my husband back. A few hours later her tests came back with Type A flu. That has been going around lately really bad. It wasn’t long until the doctors released her and she was able to go back to her normal scheduled time with her mom. We wished her to get better and we parted knowing she was on the mend.

After we left the hospital, my husband took me to get my prescription before taking us both home. He took a nap while I went down to the basement to work off some stress with a walk on the treadmill followed by a Chloe Ting workout. When I finished, I went upstairs and worked on some content for the upcoming week. It wasn’t long though and we were both exhausted from the days activities and called it a night.
Thank you so much for reading and until next time…….
